Shabby Chic Wedding & Funniest Groom's Speech Ever!

Shaun and Emma had the most amazing fun-filled wedding at the Southampton Hilton Hotel. After the group shots we popped round the corner to the local golf club for some portraits including the one above.

But the day started with Bridal Prep and Emma looking an absolute picture of shabby chic perfection,

and it was a touching moment when her dad saw her for the first time.

Meanwhile Shaun (in his electric blue suit), seen here practicing his "cougar", was waiting in the ceremony room with his best men. He was an amazing character and was undoubtedly the life and soul of the party...

...fortunately his best men were on hand to "keep him in line".

Even during the ceremony there were many moments of totally infectious hilarity...

...and moments later the most heart felt hugs.

Just like the rest of the day, Shaun & Emma's walk down the aisle was full of fun and hilarity.

Shaun was clearly over the moon at his new status as a married man.

When it came to the formal group photographs...guess what...it was anything but formal.

We had a fabulous portrait session with them both at the local golf course and got some lovely photographs of them ...

...including this one of Shaun, backlit whilst exhaling after a quick vape.

When it came to the Groom's speech, Shaun stood up and suffered a sudden attack of nerves and shyness. We thought nothing of it, we'd seen this a few times...weddings can do strange things to people.

...then he listened...and an echoey recording of his own voice played over the room speakers,
"Are you feeling nervous Shaun?"
"Yes, yes I am" says the real Shaun.
"This will help...imagine them all naked."
Shaun looked at his Best Men and recoiled in horror...

...then looked at gorgeous Emma, nodding with approval
"Yeeeeeah!"

This dialog with his own recorded voice went on in that way for quite some time and brought the house down. The room was filled with laughter and smiles.

When it was time for Emma and Shaun's First Dance as man and wife, the room was spell-bound by the obvious connection between this lovely couple.

It was a joy to watch them dancing.

After their dance, Emma had a lovely dance with her dad.

Shaun and Emma's wedding was a fantastic day, they looked amazing and their day was full of fun and affection and laughter. What a memorable day!

A Skylark Wedding at Whiteley

Scott and Karen had their wedding reception at the newly decorated Skylark Golf & Country Club in Whiteley near Fareham in Hampshire.

Skylark is perfect for an intimate wedding and only a few paces away from the reception building are gardens with water features and magnificent views.

Karen's day started round her parents' house for Bridal prep.

They had great weather for their wedding which gave us some wonderful skyscapes thanks to the enormous horizons available at Skylark.

Skylark has had a huge face lift recently and the interiors are wonderful with great views over the golf course.

The bar area is very modern decor with plenty of room to dance and surrounding tables for guests.

Scott and Karen had a fabulous wedding day with lovely guests, great weather, intimate venue and very helpful staff at the Skylark Golf and Country Club.

Manchester United Bride

Helen and her family have been huge Manchester United fans for many years. They are regular visitors to Old Trafford to support their heroes.

Every bride is emotional on her wedding day but what Helen was to find out later in the day would move her to tears.

Helen and Pete were married at St Marys and All Saints Church in Droxford, in the beautiful Meon Valley, Hampshire.

After the Ceremony it was time for photographs. Organising guests at any wedding during formal group shots is always a challenge but it was especially so for Helen and Pete's wedding. Partly because of having to shout over the sound of the wedding bells and partly because of having to carefully shepherd guests around the numerous piles of dog poo (grrr). Nevertheless, we had a great time and got some lovely shots.

Then it was off in their wedding car to the Macdonald Botley Park Golf and Country Club, in Botley, Hampshire for their Reception.

Pete was mad about golf so going to a local golf club for their Reception was a natural choice.

Because of Helen's mad keen interest in Manchester United it was no surprise that their wedding colour scheme was the red and white of her favourite team.

The golf course gave lots of portrait opportunities but the clouds were always threatening.

It never did rain but her dad had bought white brollies just in case. They were married in the Summer of 2012, the worst "Summer" for rain we had ever experienced. Considering this it was a very sensible precaution.

He even went to the bother of printing their names and wedding date on the umbrellas.

Just when Helen thought their day couldn't get any better, what she was about to find out whilst listening to her dad's speech was to move her to tears.

Her dad handed her a card and explained that it had been written by the manager of Manchester United Football Club and signed by all the players.

Helen and Pete had a fabulous day, with great guests, great venues, no rain and with nobody stepping in dog poo...perhaps the good wishes of world class football legends had an effect.
