Shabby Chic Wedding & Funniest Groom's Speech Ever!

Shaun and Emma had the most amazing fun-filled wedding at the Southampton Hilton Hotel. After the group shots we popped round the corner to the local golf club for some portraits including the one above.

But the day started with Bridal Prep and Emma looking an absolute picture of shabby chic perfection,

and it was a touching moment when her dad saw her for the first time.

Meanwhile Shaun (in his electric blue suit), seen here practicing his "cougar", was waiting in the ceremony room with his best men. He was an amazing character and was undoubtedly the life and soul of the party...

...fortunately his best men were on hand to "keep him in line".

Even during the ceremony there were many moments of totally infectious hilarity...

...and moments later the most heart felt hugs.

Just like the rest of the day, Shaun & Emma's walk down the aisle was full of fun and hilarity.

Shaun was clearly over the moon at his new status as a married man.

When it came to the formal group photographs...guess what...it was anything but formal.

We had a fabulous portrait session with them both at the local golf course and got some lovely photographs of them ...

...including this one of Shaun, backlit whilst exhaling after a quick vape.

When it came to the Groom's speech, Shaun stood up and suffered a sudden attack of nerves and shyness. We thought nothing of it, we'd seen this a few times...weddings can do strange things to people.

...then he listened...and an echoey recording of his own voice played over the room speakers,
"Are you feeling nervous Shaun?"
"Yes, yes I am" says the real Shaun.
"This will help...imagine them all naked."
Shaun looked at his Best Men and recoiled in horror...

...then looked at gorgeous Emma, nodding with approval
"Yeeeeeah!"

This dialog with his own recorded voice went on in that way for quite some time and brought the house down. The room was filled with laughter and smiles.

When it was time for Emma and Shaun's First Dance as man and wife, the room was spell-bound by the obvious connection between this lovely couple.

It was a joy to watch them dancing.

After their dance, Emma had a lovely dance with her dad.

Shaun and Emma's wedding was a fantastic day, they looked amazing and their day was full of fun and affection and laughter. What a memorable day!

Love, Laughter and a Black & White Cat

Paul and Lucinda had their wedding at the stunning Warbrook House, near Hook in Hampshire.

The boys looked fantastic in their top hats and tails.

Lucinda's dress was amazing...

...and her hair was perfect.

After their ceremony, Warbrook staff drove Paul and Lucinda to the other end of the pond for some portraits and were kind enough to present them with glasses of champagne and a little food box with scrummy canapés ...

...at which point a black and white cat appeared...and purred and begged and meowed until he got fed...we rather fancied he might have done this before..."ooooh good, a white dress and that can only mean one thing...foooood! (purrrrr)"

After portraits it was then back to the lawn...for croquet...

...and giant Jenga.

Then it was indoors for a fabulous meal and much laughter during the speeches.

After perfect wedding weather all day, there was a gorgeous evening sky...

...and just time enough for a few more portraits on the lawn...

...and a few more on the staircase against the magnificent Warbrook House decor.

Paul and Lucinda cut their wedding cake on the dance floor...

...and were then invited to sit down whilst MC Alan Marshall read out something special about each of them which was both hilarious and, at moments,...very touching.

Then it was time for their First Dance as man and wife. They delighted their guests with a very entertaining and, at times, comic dance routine.

Paul and Lucinda are a lovely couple and at their wedding they had wonderful guests, perfect weather, an amazing venue...but more than that they had love and laughter...and a very grateful black and white hotel cat.

Beach Balls Up The Aisle and Street Dancing Wedding

It is absolutely fabulous when a bride and groom make their special day their own. Some couples do so by conforming to tradition...some by doing the complete opposite...but Mike and Karen did both!

Their ceremony was a wonderfully traditional church wedding until, part way through the sermon, the bride and groom both stood up, grabbed a microphone each and announced to their startled congregation that this was their wedding, that it was going to be fun and that the fun was starting NOW!

Moments later Mike had grabbed two beach balls...

... and the vicar was presented with a Red Card, a Yellow Card and a whistle.

After quickly explaining the rules of the game, the whole congregation was involved in a highly competitive ball game which was fun and animated and totally energised their guests.

It energised their photographers as well, we've never before had to shoot a bride making a diving save!

Once the game was over and some semblance of order fell back upon the congregation...it became clear that the game was not just for fun...but was actually a parable for married life. A truly inspired piece of wedding planning.

After their church ceremony it was on to Victoria House, Netley for their Reception.

Victoria House is a lovely venue, as impressive inside as it is outside. Victorian architecture at its best on the outside. Cool modern decor on the inside.

The grounds of Victoria House are spectacular...

...but night was drawing in and we could only catch the last moments of daylight once the rain had stopped.

After the traditional cutting of the wedding cake, it was time to divert drastically from tradition again.

Without announcement, the groom had changed into street dance clothes and delighted his guests with his totally awesome moves.

Then he was joined by his totally cool wife...who had also changed.

Together their routine brought the house down with huge cheers and applause from their guests.

Then it was time for some night portraits of the boys in their traditional Scottish dress...

...including a special with the groom and his Best Man...

...and of course one with the groom and his wonderful bride outside their venue at night...at the end of a truly extraordinary wedding which they had totally made their own.
